Electronic Ticketing
Passengers travelling on an E ticket need to present one piece of photo ID at time of check-in, failure to do this may result in them being denied boarding. If you are travelling within Australia on an international flight (QF001 - QF399) you must have photo identification that has been issued by the Commonwealth of Australia or an Australian State or Territory. Acceptable photo identification includes: drivers licence, passport, any state, territory or federal government issued card, company issued identification, or a student card.

Paper Tickets
Lets just say don't go to the airport without it!

Passports
Please note that you will require a minimum of six months validity in your passport before departing Australia on an international journey. If you don't have at least six months validity on your passport from your return date into Australia you may be refused entry into the country you are visiting. If you are not travelling on an Australian passport you may require a re-entry visa to Australia. If you have any questions on this please ask your consultant.

Correct Name Requirement
If your booking name does not match your driver's license or passport you may be denied boarding. Current photo ID is required to board all flights if an e-ticket has been issued. If your booking name does not match your frequent flyer membership name, you will not receive your points on your account.

Insurance Recommended
Pilgrimage Travel and Tours strongly recommends the purchase of Travel Insurance prior to departure. Please contact your travel consultant to find out what options are available.

Check-In time
Check-in time for International Flights is at least 2 hours prior to scheduled flight departure time.

Reconfirm your return journey
Please re-confirm your onward or return journey on arrival or no later than 72 hours prior to scheduled flight departure time - Failure to do so may result in the airline cancelling your reservation.

Denied boarding or entry
Please note that you may be denied boarding by the airline or denied entry into the country you are visiting if you have a criminal conviction or do not hold a current visa. Please let your consultant know if you have a criminal record and ask about visa requirements in the country you are going to.

Airport security for liquids
Australian airports will be introducing new security measures for passengers traveling with liquids, gels and aerosols from March 31. From this date only small amounts of substances (100 milliliters per container) such as drinks, creams, perfumes, sprays, gels and toothpaste will be allowed to be taken through the screening point to the international passenger aircraft.

All liquids, aerosols and gels must be placed in a resealable transparent plastic bag no larger than one litre and will be screened individually. The Australian Government has stated that exemptions will be made for passengers with medical conditions and baby food for consumption onboard the flight.

Items purchased after passengers have passed through security screening (such as perfume, alcohol, toothpaste etc) can be taken onboard the aircraft and duty free items purchased on arrival will not be affected.

Privacy issues
Please note that airlines are required by new laws introduced in the US and other countries to give border control agencies access to passenger data. Accordingly any information we hold about you and your travel arrangements may be disclosed to the customs and immigration
