Itinerary
DAY 1: Depart Melbourne
DAY 2: AMMAN AIRPORT / PETRA Meet and assist at Queen Alia Airport, transfer to Petra, hotel in Petra for overnight. (Dinner).
DAY 3: PETRA VISIT / WADI RUM / AMMAN After breakfast, full day visit Petra, visit Wadi Rum+2 hrs jeep tour, transfer to hotel in Amman for overnight. (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 4: AMMAN // MT.NEBO / ALLENBY BRIDGE After breakfast, visit Mt. Nebo, then transfer to Allenby bridge for crossing to Jerusalem, meet and assist, transfer to Jerusalem hotel for free time at leisure by own (no services will be offered. (Breakfast & Dinner). Overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 5: JERUSALEM Today’s tour begins with a visit to the Shepherds Field on the outskirts of Bethlehem where the angels appeared to the shepherds to announce the birth of Jesus. From there we’ll go to the Mount of Olives where well see a breathtaking Panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. We’ll walk a part of the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus went with the disciples on the final night before his crucifixion. There we’ll visit the Church of All Nations and the garden with its ancient olive trees. Next we’ll go to Mount Zion where we’ll see the Upper Room and King David’s Tomb. From there we’ll go to the House of Caiaphas where Jesus was imprisoned for a night. Finally we’ll return to our hotel for overnight. (Breakfast & Dinner). Overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 6: JERUSALEM – BETHLEHEM Our day will begin today with a visit to the Western Wall, the place most precious for Jews around the world. We’ll proceed to the Temple Mount where we’ll see e Dome of the Rock Mosque. We’ll continue from there to the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed the crippled man. We will visit the Church of St. Anne before we begin our walk down the Via Dolorosa, following the path Jesus took to the cross. We’ll visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and walk through the fascinating Arab market. After Lunch we will leave Jerusalem for Bethlehem where we will visit the Bethlehem Bible College for a lecture and lodgings. Overnight Bethlehem Bible College (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 7: BETHLEHEM Breakfast at the Bible College, then time to explore parts of Bethlehem.In the morning, we will visit Rachel’s Tomb and the Shepherd’s Field. Visit the Church of Nativity, the Grotto and St. Catherine’s Church Dinner and overnight at the Bethlehem Bible College.
DAY 8: BETHLEHEM – NAZARETH After breakfast we will visit Gideons Spring on the foothills of the Gilboa Mountains. This is the place where Gideon defeated the Midianites in the famous battle. From there we’ll continue to Nazareth and a center of learning during the time of Jesus. We’ll see the beautiful mosaics and get a feel for the area where Jesus grew up. We’ll end our day with a Baptism service at the Jordan River before we return to our hotel in Nazareth for overnight. (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 9: NAZARETH – NAZARETH Today we’ll begin with a Boat Ride across the Sea of Galilee where we’ll stop for a devotional service. We’ll then visit Kibbutz Ginosar where we’ll see the ancient boat from the time of Jesus. We will continue to the Road to Damascus where Paul had his conversion experience. Next we’ll visit Caesarea Phillipi at the foot of Mount Hermon, the ancient Roman city where Peter first confessed Jesus as the Son of the living God. We travel on to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. From there we will continue our tour with a visit to the hills above the Sea where we find the Mount of Beatitudes. It was here that Jesus gave us the beautiful words from Matthew’s gospel. We will finish our day at Capernaum, the area where Jesus spent most of his ministry, and then return to our hotel in Tiberius for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 10: NAZARETH – AKKO – TEL AVIV Today we leave Nazareth and will arrive at Haifa, port city later y. We will continue to Mt. Carmel where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. Next we will travel To Akko for a visit of the old, famous crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications. We will Continue to Tel Aviv for dinner and Overnight .(Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 11: TEL AVIV – DEAD SEA This morning we travel our way to Masada, the amazing mountain top fortress built by Herod and site of the final battle in the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans. After our visit there, we will drive along the Dead Sea, passing the springs of Ein Gedi on our way to visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We will finish our day at our hotel in the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast & Dinner).
DAY 12: DEAD SEA Free to rest and “float “in the Dead Sea and use the facilities of our “spa” In the hotel In the afternoon we will be transferred to Amman international airport for flight home Abu Dhabi to Melbourne.
